 Concept to plan 

The concept photos: the green vegetation growing though the dead leaves creates an obstruction, that the new leaves grow through. I saw the dead leaves as a route through, meandering round the café, play park, amphitheatre, which are represented by the new green leaves, giving life to the park and creating this surreal atmosphere. 

The ivy growing up the trunk of a tree had the same idea, of tracking through the site, and obstructed by places. a journey through. it makes a route that is relatively flat interesting and gives it a purpose and direction. This idea would create a well connected design. 

A journey and how the paving influences this place. Paving will be the over unity of this project that carries you through the site. 

I need to work on this map to create a more connected space. Though there is an overall flow to the space I have not completely achieved that yet. Some of the things in this park become blocky and seem out of place, Like the public gardens and skate park. 

There was also a comment how the Kids play area had been sectioned off and would be better spread out into the space. I think this was an excellent point as id never really thought about that before, so to achieve this I want to add more sections that would attract children. this would create that lively atmosphere and be more balanced through the site. 

My next steps are to focus on the gardens and placing them on the roofs, The underground car park, making a more balanced play area on the site, focusing on the paving layer and tree canopy, adjusting some of the shapes to create that flow and strong flow concept.
