Barn woods Wetland

View of the wetland from the boardwalk.

Boardwalk views of Barnwoods proposed wetlands.

These are pen sketches of Barnwood Park overlaid by water colour. I think these medias work well together as you can go back over with pen to create texture, and add further watercolour to create depth.

The first image is of the proposed wetland board walk, and the surrounding wild flower garden. I created the garden to provide a variety of planting the the pollinators and enrich the biodiversity. It creates a nice separation from the wetland to the rest of the park, and prevents human contact to an area of the wetland, important to the early months of spring.

The second drawing is again on the boardwalk travelling away from the proposed café which interprets some of the further background e.g. the surrounding  housing to create viewpoints of the site and the selected ones I've chosen to keep. It creates a better view of what the site will look like as a whole which is important in a project to allow people to in vision the final results.
