Planting collage task 

 A new idea on how to start planting plans. 

Get an old magazine that's collecting dust, and create a collage focusing on colour, texture, composition, background and foreground. 

It really sparks creativity and creates good visualisations to begin to form a plan. 

My theme here was yellow and blue, though I would have liked to add more yellow plants for contrast I think that it created a strong colour theme. 

I think with this task it helped to begin to understand the heights of the plants and how they will work together and compliment or contrast one another. The pine tree on the left is a focus point of this planting, however with the depth of the blue and purple it begins to feel balanced, dragging your eyes to the bright daffodils. 

There's also a metal frame statue on the right side making a subtle focus and contrast to the denser vegetation like the box bush.
