The basics of reed beds

Reed Beds 

 

I explored this sustainable cleaning water method as a grey water treatment method that I may  include in my final design for Barnwood. 

This would be ideal as the current stream in Barnwood park is polluted with foam, litter and some oil. 

A reed bed at the start of the stream would prevent pollutants entering the park by capturing them.

I could also use this to clean the water coming form the café, like the dishwasher and hand washing. the reads would be able to take out the pollution and it could then be used for watering flowerbeds and in water features.
