a vision from paints

 

making sense of smudges on a page? 

It was very fun never the less. 

I saw light in the negative space of the paintings, 

I imagined a feature wall made of acrylic or something to achieve the vivid colours, blocking most of the light, but through the hues and patterns you are able to see rays of light. 

I firsts started with blobs of acrylic paint on the page, then dragged a pallet knife along it, creating a 'smudged' pattern across the page. 

Imagine walking down a street with a planting bed along you're side, with a backdrop like this. 

It would really bring imagination too a space, where especially children can experience these bright pops of colours within their landscapes.
