Reflection of blue

Under canopy with a covering of blue glass, with will reflect the blue onto the side walk. A water feature will also run along the side of the walk way.

Water feature ideas, LED features, water features.

Water features reflecting blue into the site.

The most effective way of including the colour blue in landscapes is including water features. This creates a natural blue hue, as well as providing the benefits through white noise and relaxation.

My first concept was a pavilion type structure with a blue stain glass roof that reflects this colour onto the paving. The water feature running along the side of the path also adds an element of blue, and provides a different component to the area which is interactive, and can provide education to young children.

Blue can also be added into a site through LED lights, paving and water features. The  LED's would be effective at night, either as underlighting on trees and benches or guiding people through the park. This is an effective way to create interest within the park and benefit safety. I think this would create a modern feel so paring this with old oak trees would create a meaningful composition.

The last image shows an interactive water feature which would be a centre attraction of a public space  like North Place. You would begin to create an attraction where people could meet at and create conversation about. Allowing structures to become interactive creates areas for learning and can be so be so beneficial for young children developing motor skills.
