The effects of photocopying
Original work
Photocopied work
This was a really interesting task set by one of our lectures Jamie. We just had to colour in squares, Photo copy it and compare the results. It was interesting to see the amount of colour lost just after one photo copy. Imagine the colours after 2 or 3 times, it would be non existent. I think you can see a bit more texture in the photocopied one as more colour was lost, more white showed through the pencil marks.
This exercise helped understand that when scanning in images it may begin to loose colour, changing the feel to it as a whole, so making sure to leave time to go over with harsher colour if necessary is important.
