Topher Delaney - The healing behind landscapes

I really enjoyed reading the story behind Topher Delaney, it was so inspiring, if you haven't read about her I would definitely go look at some of the interviews she has done, its truly inspiring! Topher Delaney | 2002-01-01 | Architectural Record this was a really well written short read. 

She was diagnosed with cancer and now with her landscape architecture she is devoted to create spaces of heling and is all about "comfort,  healing and space" (Harrison Kubany . 2002)

This was hard to find any information or images on so these re the best I could do. However I still think they show the real power of healing when surrounded by biophilic design. 

The top image shows the before and after, which is pretty incredible. just by looking through the screen you can feel the relief of stress by bringing people close to nature. 

The layered canopy and different textures and elements e.g water indulge you into this design which is so important in hospitals where patients can feel so worried and isolated. 

Topher Delaney is truly inspirational and I will continue to read further into her designs and reasons behind them.
