Second response - ansley island

On this visit, I looked a lot more at the sense of place of the site, so I could begin thinking of what I want to turn the site into. I wanted to look at the importance of the site, what the use could be, and how I could harness these ideas into a design that would benefit all users.

Electrical site, overpowered by pylon, Health risk?

Brilliant walking routes through, circuits of paths that all connect create good routes.

Abandoned old railway bridges, interesting architecture, could be harnessed into relating the surrounding area to its historical interests.

Views of pylons and electrical site bordered by vegetation. Creates a good frame for a view, however the pylon in the centre.

the vast scale of the fields and paths that you walk along. Bordered by the river.

lots of brambles/ unused land due to vegetation being overgrown.

The water is the main focus that I feel could improve this site. Recreating a connection to it through access to the water, and views of the river that surrounds the site and makes it such an interesting site.

at the moment with all the boarders overgrown, you're unable to see the water, and lots of people would go by without even noticing it is there.
