designing a colourful place from a car park

From a forgotten car park to a place that is designed for people and centred around human use.
I wanted a landscape that encouraged people to use the outdoors, and become part of a community, that before was barren unused land.
The circuit encourages use of the whole site, with smaller areas intertwined along them. There's an area where you are fully submerged in a woodland, or a separate boardwalk track that leads you on a different route.
I wanted 24/7 surveillance on this site as its on the verge of the rural side of Gloucester so is pretty quiet. I achieved this by including live/work units, flexible space so activities can be held at any time of the day Aswell as significant lighting

here the cross section shows that relation of the buildings to the lakes and also reinforces the vast scale of the site compared to human scale.

The woodland walks and the buildings on site.

The wetland walks.

I really wanted to enlighten the feel of being in a natural rural place, somewhere where people can escape too.
